About

Bernardo Fanti

Over the last two decades, I’ve worked across the tech spectrum—as a CTO, Head of Product, VP of Engineering, product manager, and hands-on software engineer. I’ve led high performing teams, shipped great products, and navigated the messiness that lies between startup scrappiness and scale-up success.

My clients are often post-product-market fit companies that are growing quickly—but feel like they’ve hit a barrier. Communication is breaking down, team members are burning out, new hires aren’t integrating, and it’s getting harder and harder to get things done.

I advise & lead with curiosity, a rebellious spirit with high expectations, and a systems-level understanding of both humans and businesses. My work is to fix the mudball of history and organizational debt by helping you rewire the way your company works, thinks, and collaborates. Not in one big perfectly designed transformation, but in small, manageable, incremental steps as we learn, together.

Born in Munich, Germany of Italian family, educated in the European School system among friends of all Nations and emigrated to the United States for college, Bernardo is a third culture kid, an engineer, an adventurer, a leader and a doer, an athlete and an artist.

Graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, a lifetime computer nerd who developed deep expertise in software engineering, then grew into executive product leadership through his career. As an avid reader, he pursued a broad range of ideas and experiences that helped him connect deeply to the human experience and become a keen observer of patterns.

Bernardo maintains his third culture kid identity by living across the world in Denver, Colorado; Lisbon, Portugal; Santa Barbara and Lake Tahoe, California; Baja, Mexico; Italy; and spending large amounts of time living and traveling out of his truck camper with his partner. He is a certified skydiver and paragliding pilot, rock and ice climbs, freediver and spearfisher, and loves creating memorable culinary experience with great people.
